Site Created by Top Shelf Design Selection to play for Northern Stars Lacrosse is based on talent, attitude, dedication, and coachability. Membership is based on the understanding that this opportunity is for those who are serious about pursuing lacrosse in college.
Commitment from both the athlete and her parents is required to be a member of this team.
Northern Stars Lacrosse sets itself apart from typical elite level club teams because it holds organized practices to create a true team environment. Therefore, it is required that players commit to at least 50% of the practices and 50% of the possible tournaments scheduled. The goal behind this requirement is for the girls to benefit as individual players as well as learning the responsibility of being part of a team. All tournaments are non-refundable, once a player has signed-up and paid the fee. If something comes up and a player cannot attend a particular tournament, she must let the coaches know no later than 2 weeks prior to that tournament.
Players for NSL are responsible for communicating any issues or conflicts with coaches first before parents or anyone else does so on their behalf. The goal behind this requirement is to prepare the girls as best we can for playing at the collegiate level, and direct communication with coaches is one of the most important aspects of success at the collegiate level.
